Cool Storage Solutions For The Home

Whenever I redecorate a room, the most exciting part for me is factoring in storage solutions. Obviously, in every home, there are items that we use for everyday life like shoes, clothes and remote controls. I do like to have places to put all of these day to day objects so they are out of sight. That’s why I have always liked to research solutions and keep on top of the current trends for storage ideas. Here are a small selection of storage solutions that I am currently using around my home.

Mason Jars

I love mason jars. They are so versatile and can be used in so many ways as a storage solution. They can be attached to an aged piece of wood and then hung on the bathroom wall to make a nice feature. Perfect for storing cotton wool balls, bath bombs and other small bathroom essentials.
You could also use them in the kitchen to store dry foods as I do. Print off some pretty labels to finish off the look.

Shoe Storage For Other Purposes

If you love Ikea as much as me then you will love how versatile their products are and how many uses they have around the home. The Trones shoe storage cabinets can be connected together to make a headboard with storage. Ideal for keeping clean bedding at hand or PJ’s.

Planters

Use pretty planters like this one for storing your belongings. Perfect for makeup brushes or even art brushes. I think this would look nice on a home desk to keep all of those pens and pencils in one place.

Suitcases And Chests

After hours of browsing online for solutions, I came up with the idea of using a chest or suitcase for my living room blankets.
I didn’t want a plain ottoman I wanted something that would stand out and make a statement and I think these colourful steel trunks do just that.

Clothing Storage Solutions

You can save so much space in your wardrobe by using pullout canvas storage cubes or these wardrobe storage organisers. I personally use these and they keep everything compact and tidy.
They are super handy for storing my ever-growing collection of jeggings and slimming jeans for women!

Decorative Ladders

I think the use of decorative ladders is fab for smaller spaces as their openness and slim design takes up less space than a chest would. They are also very useful for renters as they can replace hooks, which means no need to drill walls.
